Space Tripper – graphic demo

This is a graphic demo I made using a technique called raycasting which was originally used in games like Wolfenstein for example. A lot of random parameters affect the visual appearance like lighting, block size and color. It’s made with Java and uses LWJGL for graphics.

GameJam at BTH concluded. We got a third place in the competition! You can try our submission here. Other team members were Olle Lundahl, Niklas Ström and Simon Gustafsson.

For the sound we used SiON, a pure as3 synthesizer. This means that all sound and music could be generated in real time, and the final swf was only about 200 kB! The usages are endless, though I had merely time to scratch the surface.

Katamari Damacy – Katamaritaino chip remix

Katamaritaino was my favorite song from the original Katamari Damacy, and I have played it for many years on guitar and piano, but now it’s time for the first release of a remix, and it’s a chiptune! Because the original song is jazz, the remixed turned out quite cool, and one might think it be a little YMCK inspired. This is a coincidence, although I can highly recommend them if you want similar stuff!

The Real Suntrip

Music & video collaboration with Salkinitzor. This song spawned from a simple elegant synthstab rythm and evolved to a fully fledged chillout awesomeness. Braingasm leads are produced by a Nord synth and an old Yamaha organ. The video is made out of clips from Sällskapsresan, and was a sure pick when browsing through some random stuff in search for material. It’s all about that relaxed feeling when going on a vacation, or something similar.
